Ryuji IWASAKI 岩崎 龍二
An award-winning artist, R.Iwasaki was born in Osaka in 1980, where he still lives and works in his studio. 20 years of dedication in ceramic art has allowed him to create ever-changing shapes and textures.
He invented 7 unique colored enamels after 700 essays, from plant elements: for example, camellia ash. Looking closely at his creations, you can see countless crystallized points, making the surface as romantic as the galaxy.
He still creates each piece on his pottery wheel and selects only 20% of the best pieces as end products.
Each piece requires approximately 50H manual work and each object is unique.
